On Monday morning, two dead were discovered in a burned-out vehicle in Barangay Sinasajan, Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija.
The deceased, who had both been shot in the neck, were discovered side by side in the front of the car.
The victims were reportedly a 44-year-old rescue officer and a 33-year-old businessman who were buddies.
The businessman was set to sell an apartment complex valued at roughly P18 million, according to his family.
He even went straight to the transaction to be completed after dropping off his 9-year-old son at school.
“Birthday po ng pamangkin ko ngayon kaya (desidido) talaga na ma-close deal ng kapatid ko yung transaksiyon,” said the sister of the victim.
‘JUST FEELING’
According to the female victim, she only requested that the rescue officer drive her and go with her to the transaction.
“Parang magkakapatid na rin kami. Nataon lang siya. Kaya naaawa rin ako sa pamilya ng (isa pang) biktima. Hindi dapat siya yung sasama eh,” the brother of the businessman stated.
The two were shot in the back of the head, burned, and left in a secluded location.
“Nadamay lang po siya. Hindi po katanggap-tanggap,” the uncle of the male victim remarked. “Brutal yung pagkakagawa, parang walang kaluluwa, kaya napakahirap. Sana huwag na maulit sa iba.”
2 BUYERS INVOLVED IN CRIME?
The two flat buyers may have involved in the crime, according to the businessman’s family. They allegedly even entered the victim’s vehicle.
JUSTICE
The family of the victims are calling for justice.
“Sumuko na kayo. Pagbayaran niyo na ang kasalanan niyo na ginawa niyo sa kapatid ko,” the cousin of the businessman pleaded.
To catch the suspects whose names have been established, the police promised to launch a hot pursuit operation.
Taylor added, “Tuloy-tuloy po yung pagkalap natin ng ebidensya at paghanap dito sa mga suspects natin. Hindi po natin titigilan ito.”
Murder charges will be brought against the suspects.
