Sitti Navarro Ramirez, a bossa nova singer, used social media to explain why she and her spouse, Joey Ramirez, chose to renew their vows.
Sitti disclosed that, in May 2025, they performed a vow renewal ceremony to commemorate their 10th year marriage. This event was mostly motivated by their two daughters, Issiah Dañelle and Osseah Lucille.
Sitti shared in a post on her Instagram page, “I had two reasons for wanting to renew our marriage on our tenth year: first, so our girls would see Joey and I recommitting to our covenant, and two, I selfishly wanted to see them walk down the aisle with us as our flower girls 😆”
The OPM singer said that her husband embraced the idea as well, which ultimately led to the ceremony taking place in Baguio—the same location where they said their first “I do.”
She added, “When I floated the idea to Joey, he said that he also wanted to have a renewal of vows. Eh submissive ako 😆 and so May of last year, in front of our closest family and friends, we did 🥹,”
“We’ll most likely renew our vows again in our 20th year by God’s grace and favor Pero baka sa bahay na lang hahaha,” she said.
She went by saying that they had already renewed their commitment to each other. “Joey and I have actually renewed our vows three times already, at the couples’ retreats that we have joined. It is always the most precious and heart-tugging thing, to look into your husband’s eyes and to repeat the words you first said at your wedding.”
Additionally, Sitti posted pictures from their special day, jokingly pointing out how much her spouse has changed, particularly in terms of posing for pictures.
She also said that Joey’s attire for the ceremony included designs created by their girls, such as a rainbow, a unicorn, and a three-headed dragon, which gave the event a unique and whimsical feel.
Joey’s longtime pastor friend, Pastor Brian Sebastian, presided over the wedding, and Sitti thanked him for supporting the significant renewal.
