MANILA — Actress-host Karla Estrada said that she still chooses love willingly after heartbreak and difficult lessons because she feels that falling in love should never be draining.

During an interview with Melai Cantiveros on “Kuan On Juan,” Estrada discussed love, recovery, and second chances.

Estrada claims that this is the longest period of time she has been single.

When asked what she had learned from her past relationships, Estrada said: “You can not be sure talaga, ang pag-ibig kasi dumarating lang nang hindi mo inaasahan. Hindi mo mawawari ang pag-ibig. Hindi ako guro sa pag-ibig. Ako ‘yung feeling ko palpak pa rin sa pagpili nang makakasama ko or makakarelasyon ko but of course I’m willing to learn. In my 50s I still want to say that, I hope someone will come into my life. Someone I can specifically pray to the Lord, the person I truly want to be with.”

Karla’s journey in the entertainment industry spans decades, but what truly shines through is her ability to connect deeply with people—whether it’s through her heartfelt hosting on shows like Magandang Buhay, or the genuine warmth she shows her family and fans.

Her love for her children, especially her son Daniel Padilla, a top actor and singer, is often highlighted in interviews and social media posts. Karla credits her family for keeping her motivated and centered.

According to Estrada, she prays for someone who will cherish and be devoted to her.

More than grand gestures, Karla finds love in the simple, everyday moments: a shared meal with family, a quiet evening at home, or heartfelt conversations with friends.

Karla’s openness about love extends beyond her personal life. She encourages her fans to cherish love, be it romantic, familial, or self-love.

Through her TV hosting and public appearances, Karla continues to spread a message of love and hope. Fans admire her sincerity and the positive energy she radiates.

Karla’s message is clear as she continues: love is a beautiful, timeless emotion that never grows.

At the moment, Estrada is content to be a first-time grandma to Claudio, the eldest child of her second son JC and Nathalia Valdivia.

Estrada said, “I’m very happy. It’s more on joy ‘yung nararamdaman ko, malalim na kaligayahan,”
