After taking a year off to focus on her health and well-being, Elha Nympha has officially returned to the ASAP stage, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her career. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the Big Shot Belter’s comeback to the stage where she shines.
Elha gave a stirring performance of “Rise Up,” a song that reflected her own journey back to the stage, during a magnificent homecoming performance on ASAP on December 21. She then appeared on the inaugural live installment of the weekend variety show early this year, which signaled the return of ABS-CBN to free TV on Channel 2 via ALLTV.
Elha talked about how it felt to be back in the spotlight after a year away in an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN. She expressed how much she missed the people and the location that shaped her career.
She shared, “Super happy kasi na-miss ko yung mga ka-trabaho ko dito sa industry and of course, na-miss ko ang ABS-CBN. I think right lang talaga yung timing para sa aking pagbabalik. I’m just so blessed to have this opportunity again. Thanks to ABS-CBN and of course kay God,”
In addition to expressing her appreciation, Elha gave fans something to anticipate by confirming that her return to ASAP will not be a one-time event. She expressed her delight about participating in new production numbers and hinted at additional performances and surprises in the coming weeks.
Elha’s hiatus began in 2023 when she disclosed that she was suffering with health issues while appearing as a guest on Magandang Buhay. She clarified that it was a common problem affecting women and that it needed appropriate care and attention, even though she declined to reveal the precise medical condition.
One of the main reasons she left the stage was because of these health issues. Elha told PUSH ABS-CBN that she was able to devote all of her attention to health and wellbeing during that time in her life.
Additionally, she reassured supporters that despite the rest, her voice was still in fine condition and clarified that her sabbatical was intended to address other aspects of her health.
