Samantha Bernardo, a former Pinoy Big Brother member and Miss Grand International 2020 first runner-up, revealed the gender of her first child on social media.

The former beauty queen recorded a private moment in a video that she posted on social media, revealing the precise moment she and her husband, Scott Moore, found they were expecting a boy.

“Still in love high and can’t sleep yet. Our hearts are so full and grateful! 🩵 Thank you, Papa God, and thank you to everyone who surrounded us with so much love. 🤰✨,” Samantha said.

Following their gender-reveal countdown, Samantha and Scott were seen in the video beaming with joy as blue confetti filled the air. When the couple found out they were having a boy, they jumped and embraced each other.

Samantha Panlilio, a close friend of Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021, posted videos of the pair greeting attendees and teasing at a future gathering on her Instagram Stories.

“Thank you so much for everyone being here. One thing is for sure, we are not going to stop having one and I will do everything in my power,” Scott quipped.

They received congratulations from a number of celebrity friends and beauty queens, including Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, Janine Tugonon, Karen Gallman, Karen Bordador, Jenny Miller, Joj and Jao Agpangan, and Patch Magtanong.

Samantha and her husband first made the pregnancy news online in November of this year.

The PBB alum wrote in a post: ““Our little miracle is on the way. 🧡✨ Thank you, Papa God, for the gift of life. 🤰We’re so grateful for our @geneplanet_philippines NIPT for giving us peace knowing our baby is healthy. 🥹 Gender reveal coming soon… what’s your guess? 👶.”

During their trip to Turkey the same month, the couple filmed their grand and beautiful announcement video.

Since then, as she enters on a new chapter in her life, Samantha has been sharing her reflections on motherhood and the lessons she has learned.

She shared a list of lessons she has embraced: “1. I learned to let go of people who don’t see my value. 2. Prioritize my my health, family and friends — in that order. 3. Love and support my partner in the way he feels most loved. 4. Communication and respect are the foundation of every healthy relationship. 5. Be kinder to myself — my body is doing something miraculous.”

She added, “6. Welcome this new chapter with gratitude for the people who stayed. 7. You care less about the noise and drama… peace becomes the priority. 8. You start recognizing who only kept you around for their own benefit — and you walk away quietly. 9. Protecting your energy becomes second nature. 10. Rest is not laziness — it’s preparation for the life you’re carrying.”

“11. You love slower, deeper, and softer — because everything feels more meaningful. 12. You realize that nothing compares to building a home filled with safety, love, and understanding.”

Samantha shared on how much she and her husband loved traveling and their future ambitions to expand their family in an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN in March of this year.

“Honestly, privacy is power. I’m so happy because I travelled 22 countries if I’m not mistaken for the past year. Nakakapagod but these are the moments that I will cherish kasi kapag nagkababy na kami, baka hindi na ‘to mangyari,” she shared.

“Nakakatuwa lang, nakakataba ng puso. Too good to be true sometimes, but I’m so grateful for everything that’s happening in my life.”
