On the third day of their Deadline World Tour stop in Singapore earlier this week, Lisa, a member of BLACKPINK, was seen sporting sneakers from the Philippines. When the worldwide celebrity wore their creation at their exhibition, the brand couldn’t contain their happiness.
GVN The Label is a Filipino brand that sells footwear and baggage and has over 80,000 followers on their Instagram account.
“WE ARE AT A LOSS FOR WORDS,” the brand said.
Lisa was sporting the brand’s ballet sneakers in the color chrome while performing on stage. GVN The Label then revealed how a member of the K-Pop girl group’s team got in touch with them before to their visit to the Philippines to ask about the footwear.
“A few days before their PH stop, someone from their team reached out to us to ask if they could do a pull-out of our ballet sneakers,” the brand stated.
At first, GVN The Label explained that they were hesitant about the message as they didn’t imagine it was truly someone from BLACKPINK’s team. Eventually, they gave in and were hopeful with what might become of this surprise message.
“We were skeptical at first because it was too good to be true but we wanted to shoot our shot and see what could happen!! ‘we’ll never know if we don’t try’ — literally us the whole time. We were hopeful, of course, but with so many brands they could choose from, we genuinely didn’t expect anything,” they acknowledged.
True enough, Lisa was then rocking their footwear on the third day of their Singapore stay to the satisfaction of the Filipino brand’s team.
While some internet users praised the brand and stated their desire to purchase the same type that the BLACKPINK member wore, fans of Lisa commented on how lovely the shoes looked on the international celebrity.
BLACKPINK recently performed in the country during November 22 and 23 at the Philippine Arena.
