As she returns to her fitness phase, Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza said she is “single and very happy.” She remained silent on her relationship with Kapamilya star Jameson Blake following romance rumors in a brief chat with showbiz blogger Gorgy Rula on the night of Gabi ng Lagim’s launch.

Earlier this year, Barbie and Jameson collaborated on the same Netflix movie, Kontrabida Academy.

In addition to her running days, the Kapuso star revealed in the interview that she has experimented with swimming.

“Actually bumalik na po ako. I am slowly going back to my running era–– medyo mabagal ako ulit, medyo humina akong tumakbo. Pero ngayon, medyo nakakarecover naman na ng kaunti sinisipagan ko na ulit tumakbo,” she said.

Barbie was beaming when asked if she was in a relationship and insisted that she was happy and single.

She declared, “I am single and very happy—always happy.”

After telling the journalist that they should stop discussing it, she remained silent on what actually transpired between her and Jameson. She reiterated that she is not in a romantic relationship.

“Grabe naman, nako wag na pagusapan. Basta, I’m happy and single,” she declared.

Barbie also remained silent when questioned about their bond, preferring to talk about the movie they were watching.

The initial reports of Barbie and Jameson’s romantic involvement appeared on social media earlier this year. Netizens became even more curious about the two’s true relationship status after they were pictured together at the GMA Gala.

Jameson shared in a previous exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN that they became close “really fast” as a result of their ongoing, unnamed project.

He previously said,“She’s very engaging when you have conversations with her. Hindi siya boring kausap… Our time together, you know, there’s a sense to it, you know, when we have talks,”
