Following the popular K-pop girl group’s performance in the nation over the weekend, Blackpink star Jisoo thanked her Filipino fans on Thursday.
The 30-year-old singer and actress posted pictures from her group’s “Deadline” tour’s Bulacan leg, which took place at the Philippine Arena on November 22 and 23, on Instagram.
However, based on the responses on her post, people were thrilled not just by her expression of thanks but also by the fact that she typed the entire caption in Filipino.
“Pilipinas, para talaga akong bumalik sa kabataan ko—ang dami kong tawa at sobrang saya ko,” she remarked.

Jisoo said that she would never forget the “pink wave,” which was a wave-like effect created by fans raising their pink-glowing lightsticks in a sweeping gesture across the crowd.
The agency that handles Jisoo’s solo activities, BLISSOO, also posted an Instagram Reel with snippets from the Bulacan “Deadline” concert.
Blackpink’s “Deadline” event, which featured the group’s previous hits, their new single “Jump,” and their most recent solo songs, was packed with Filipino fans, including local celebrities.
It was Jisoo’s second trip to the Philippines this year, after her solo fan meetup at the Araneta Coliseum in March, while Blackpink’s “Deadline” concert signaled their return after more than two years.
Although an exact release date has not yet been disclosed, the group, which also consists of Rosé, Lisa, and Jennie, is purportedly working on a new album.
Jisoo has already expressed gratitude for the Philippines. She has already shown her appreciation for Filipino food and culture, which has further won her admirers in the nation.
Along with the message, Jisoo provided behind-the-scenes looks into their concert planning, demonstrating the band’s enthusiasm and commitment to putting on a top-notch performance.
BLACKPINK’s concert in the Philippines is a testament to their soaring popularity in Southeast Asia. The group’s combination of catchy music, stylish visuals, and engaging personalities has garnered a massive following in the region.
Their visit included fan meet-and-greets, media interviews, and charitable engagements, showcasing BLACKPINK’s commitment to connecting with fans beyond just their music.
