Vivamax Artists, Including AJ Raval, Face Legal Charges from KSMBPI

NewsInsider

A cloud of legal trouble looms over AJ Raval and several other artists from Vivamax, as they now face potential legal repercussions. This comes after the Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas, Inc. (KSMBPI) lodged a criminal complaint against them. KSMBPI has accused the actresses of engaging in “obscene publication,” asserting that this violates specific provisions of the cybercrime law.

Notably, KSMBPI has previously taken legal action against prominent figures in the entertainment industry. They filed similar criminal complaints against popular “It’s Showtime” hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez, as well as renowned vlogger Toni Fowler. This ongoing legal pursuit seems to be an integral part of KSMBPI’s broader mission to combat moral decay and what they perceive as anarchy within the show business realm. As the legal proceedings unfold, it remains to be seen how these allegations will impact the careers and lives of the artists involved.

Mark Tolentino, the legal representative of KSMBPI, made copies of the criminal complaints against Vivamax artists publicly accessible through his Facebook page. In addition to this, KSMBPI Secretary General Bernie Miaque issued a statement, shedding light on the existence of “silent victims” who had contacted the organization and divulged unsettling secrets within the entertainment industry.

Although the group has not divulged specific details about these revelations, Miaque hinted that KSMBPI is gearing up to file more complaints against a broader spectrum of individuals within the entertainment world. This will include “movie directors, talent managers, talent agents, entertainment columnists and commentators, and even showbiz reporters.” The move suggests that KSMBPI is committed to addressing and rectifying issues within the showbiz industry, and its actions extend to various aspects of the entertainment ecosystem.
