At present, there are ongoing negotiations between state-owned television networks PTV 4 and IBC 13 and the esteemed veteran TV host, Willie Revillame. These discussions revolve around the potential collaboration to bring his renowned variety and game show, Wowowin, to the audiences of these channels.

In July of this year, speculations began to circulate about a potential partnership, generating significant buzz among television enthusiasts. A reliable source had disclosed insider information, indicating that Wowowin is scheduled to make its debut on PTV-4 and IBC 13 starting October 2, 2023, airing every Monday from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. This news has piqued the curiosity of many eagerly awaiting the return of the popular variety/game show to their screens.

In a recent update, Jose C. Policarpio, Jr., the President and CEO of IBC 13, has confirmed that negotiations are currently underway, with both parties actively reviewing the proposed contract. He expressed optimism that these negotiations will reach a conclusion within the next two to three weeks. This statement reflects the ongoing efforts to solidify the partnership between the television networks and Willie Revillame’s Wowowin, keeping viewers eagerly anticipating the potential collaboration.

“PTV offers balanced programming of news as well as informative and public service shows both local and international,” the official website of PTV 4 posted.

IBC-13 president Jose Policarpio Jr. says the program “will cater to entertainment to the lowest of the lowest among the people.”

“In partnership with the Department of Education, and with every Filipino family, IBC-13 will be geared towards the education of our greatest national resource – the Filipino youth, providing programming that promotes positive Filipino values, good morals and right conduct, while correcting outdated traditional behavior that is a continuing obstacle to development and progress,” IBC’s website stated.
