Jennie finally made her acting debut in the film The Idol. The film, directed by Sam Levinson (who also directed The Weeknd and Euphoria), follows a pop sensation and a cult leader.

On June 5th, HBO unveiled a making-of documentary for the pilot episode of The Idol. The show is about a young singer who becomes involved with a cult leader and their dysfunctional relationship.
