Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi wears a Darna-Inspired for the national costume round during the preliminary competition on Thursday. The 71st Edition of the MISS UNIVERSE National Costume Show, LIVE from New Orleans, USA.

Miss Universe 2022 will be the 71st Miss Universe Competition, to be held on January 14th, 2023 in New Orleans, USA. Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event.

According to some Netizens, “That Darna-inspired Natcos is clearly a representation of women’s heroine and empowerment in the Philippines but Celeste could have presented something different I mean something that truly presents the concept of women’s empowerment and our country’s like Gabr S. inspired costumes.”

Miss Universe is an annual international beauty pageant that is run by the Miss Universe Organization. The competition was founded in 1952 and has been held annually since then.
