ABS-CBN Corporation president and CEO Carlo Katigbak gave a message about the disappearance of the Kapamilya channel, a year ago.
We pledge to uphold news that is fair, balanced, and impartial, but news that is brave honest and courageous. “ABS-CBN is not our franchise, not our transmitters, not our studios. ABS-CBN is found in the heart of every Kapamilya that chooses to serve the Filipino. ABS-CBN is you. For so long as the passion to serve burns brightly in you, ABS-CBN will continue to be alive and well,” he said.
Even its chairman Mark Lopez gave a message for ABS-CBN journalists.
“While it has been a year since the broadcast sign off of ABS-CBN, you’re commitment to bringing important news and information to our people has not wavered. “As they say, working in ABS-CBN is a calling. Public service is in our DNA. Once a Kapamilya journalist, always a Kapamilya journalist. “In my heart, I do not doubt the years that working in ABS-CBN News have instilled within all of you not only the values of fair and balanced reporting but also a heart for the Filipino people. “Stand strong. Stay safe. Maraming salamat sa inyong taos-pusong pagserbisyo sa ating mga kababayan,” Lopez said.
