The frontman of Filipino heavy metal band Slapshock Vladimir “Jamir” Garcia has died at the age of 42. A report from the Quezon City Police District read that Garcia was found lifeless in his home.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Christine Tabdi stated that “‘Yun nga nirespondehan ng pulis kasi nireport na may lifeless body pero sa hospital na rin siya nakuwan, tapos dineclare ng doctor na dead on arrival.”

According to the police, the investigation to determine the cause of Garcia’s death was turned over to the QCPD’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit.

“Sila na ‘yung gagawa ng further investigation…” Tabdi said.

SOURCE CNN, “Garcia’s sister, Cheloana, executed a written waiver manifesting that they are no longer interested to conduct further investigation as their family is convinced that the singer took his own life, the report added.”
