Hollywood superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson together with his entire family had tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The 48-year-old American-Canadian actor, producer, businessman, retired professional wrestler, and former American football and Canadian football player has announced on his social media account that he, his wife and their two daughters tested positive for Covid-19 but have made a full recovery, said the professional wrestler on Wednesday.
“I wish it was only me who tested positive. But it wasn’t — it was my entire family, so this one was a real kick in the gut,” he said on his video posted on Instagram.
Johnson said his two young daughters, who are ages 4 and 2, exhibited mild symptoms, but he and his wife, Lauren Hashian, were a different story.
“It baffles me that some people out there — including some politicians — will take this idea of wearing masks and make it part of a political agenda, politicizing it.”It has nothing to do with politics. Wear your mask. It is a fact. And it is the right thing to do,” he added.
“My number one priority is always to protect my family, protect my children. I wish it was only me who tested positive, but it wasn’t, it was my entire family. But I am happy to tell you guys that we as a family are good, we are on the other end of it, we’re no longer contagious and thank God we are healthy.”
