Coronavirus 2 is a causative agent of COVID-19 and it is being airborne. The Department of Health stressed the importance of wearing a mask in the public as part of the prescribed minimum health standards to ensure utmost protection from this pandemic virus COVID-10
The virus is already assumed to be airborne when conducting aerosol-generating procedures in hospitals according to Dr. Edsel Salvana.
July 7, Mario Rosario Sight-Vergeire stated that their healthcare workers use the N95 mask and conduct strict infection prevention and control measures.
She also stated that we should all do the minimum health standards like wearing mask properly, washing our hands, social distancing especially in the close areas and air-conditioned or unventilated areas, she added that some of the people forget the minimum health protocols and it may have the possibility to return to Enhanced Community Quarantine if we tighten our protocols and health measures.
Singh-Vergeire also appealed to the public to work together, she stated that we should continue to take care of our health because of the vulnerability of individuals in our homes like our senior citizen’s people who are sick and the little children. She also stated that “We already did this last month we should just continue to do minimum health protocols even though we are going out to the public.
She added we should not be comfortable, we should continue to be responsible. We should take care of ourselves, our loved ones, and all the members of our community, our safety are always in our hands.
