2nd Tranche of the Social Amelioration Program— the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said on Sunday that they will disburse a total amount of P6.88 billion cash assistance nationwide under the second tranche of the Social Amelioration Program.

Based on DSWD’s latest data, as of July 3, P6.88 billion worth of subsidy has been distributed nationwide with a total of 1,362,911 families served.

According to DSWD, “Patuloy ang pamamahagi ng emergency subsidy sa second tranche para sa pang araw-araw na pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan.”

According to May per Executive Order No. 112, series of 2020, and a Memorandum from the Office of the Executive Secretary dated May 2, ‘those family that were qualified beneficiaries for the program’s second tranche are also those family beneficiaries of the first tranche that are under enhanced community quarantine.

These include the National Capital Region; Region III, except Aurora; Region IV-A; Benguet; Pangasinan; Iloilo; Cebu Province; Bacolod; Davao City; Albay Province; and Zamboanga City.

However, those families that are under the Social Amelioration Program, low-income families will be given cash assistance ranging from P5,000 to P8,000 per month for two months to help them cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.
