Just Now: South Cotabato, Sto. Niño Mayor Pablo Matinong Jr. shot dead by an unidentified person during his infrastructure site visit.
Several politicians have encountered an unexpected attacks by their enemies or by some unidentified persons that results to their lives to put in danger.
Most attacks were suspects riding in a motorcycle and doing their motive at a very unexpected place and time. Some cases were already resolved and the ones responsible are already in jail.
However, there are still pending cases leaving families grieving and calling for justice.
Recently, South Cotabato Mayor Pablo Matinong Jr. was one of them. Based on a recent news report in ABS-CBN News, Santo Niño Mayor Pablo Matinong Jr. was shot during an infrastructure site visit in Purok Libertad, Barangay Poblacion.
During the incident happened, Matinong had no security escort with him.
However, as of the initial report, it shows that the suspects were aboard a motorcycle and approached the Mayor when he was at the site. According to the report, the politician was brought to a clinic but he was found dead on arrival.
As of now, the authorities are still investigating the incident and there are still no further information about it.
