Humanity is what we need most especially during this time of pandemic. The world has been through a lot ever since the year 2020 started. The battle with the coronavirus outbreak is extremely difficult, however a 35-year-old man proved that there are still generous and kindhearted people out there.
Mark Lorenze Bas decided to help some people in need by selling his car in exchange of groceries.
He posted his 1993 Mitsubishi Lancer in a barter group “Cebu Barter Community” in return, he got Php125,000 worth of relief goods such as canned goods, noodles, and sacks of rice.
Mark Lorenze Bas is from Talisay City, Cebu. He also added that people who are in need should not hesitate to ask him for help. He is willing enough to deliver the goods to their doorsteps.
“Para sa mga Orphanage, Poorest of the Poor (kana lang di mga badlungon) og uban pang mas nanginahanglan…og ayaw kamu pg duha2x og message kung gusto mo makadawat sa relief goods kay ako na ideliver sa tagsa2x ninyo nga balay (half ako idonate ang half ako irotate pra daghan pa matabangan).” he wrote on the captions.
He started helping others after he joined the brotherhood “Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity.”
Mark created his own foundation “MLB Foundation,” a non-government organization, that helps the street children, children at the orphanage, elderlies at the home for the aged and support children with major health problems like polio, mengitis and cancer.
