The COVID-19 pandemic has infected over 200 countries with 3.5 million people across the globe. One of the countries affected is the Philippines. Department of Health (DOH) confirms tat there is currently a total of 10,463 COVID-19 cases in the Philippines. Out of these total number of cases, 696 patients died while 1,734 made their way to recovery.
Health workers are in greater risk of contagion. Many health care frontliners were infected with the disease, one of them is a Filipina nurse in Quezon City.
According to ABS-CBN News, the Filipina nurse is about to get married with her partner this coming December. She was admitted in Hope 1 Facility in Quezon City.
“Ang takot nandoon talaga e, hindi siya mawala-wala kahit labanan mo siya. But then hopeful na lang talaga na there is always a reason kung bakit ka kailangan matagal mag-antay,” she said based on the report.
She stated that she only relied to her faith when she almost lost hope, the journey really had shaken her. Fortunately, the nurse has finally recovered from the disease.
