During the times of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), a baby girl was born and she was named after the pandemic, COVID-19.

Her name is Covid Marie Tupas and she was born on April 13, 2020 at 12:30 pm, in Bacolod City Health Office.

Her father, John Joachim Tupas, 23 years old, said that her daughter’s name was recommended by her younger sister, Mary Jocelyn Tupas. John stated that he wished that through her baby’s name, people will remember the pandemic in the future that the world is facing right now.

Baby Covid Marie is the first born of the live-in couple, John Joachim Tupas and Colline Tabesa who is 20 years old.

John works as an E-Bike driver and because of the ECQ, they are currently suffering from lack of financial matters. They are in need of financial support for the needs of their baby girl.
