The city of Bacolod allows M / V Unicorn Bravo cargo vessel to unload fertilizer at Bredco Port which has a travel history in Xiamen, China. Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia issued Executive Order no. 12 to accept some shipment of vessels from China, Hongkong, and Macau at the Bredco Port.
The Cargo Vessel has 19 crew, 15 from Chinese national and 4 in Myanmar. First, the Bureau of Quarantine Negros has checked the list of the crew in M/V Unicorn Bravo Cargo Vessel.
According to the Bacolod Mayor, he issues executive order 12 after a formal message sends to DILG Secretary Eduardo Año. In the executive order, all crew in the vessels are not allowed to get-out on the ship except to the authorizes personnel such as Harbor Pilot, Cargo Handlers, Crane Operators and Stavedore. But they will go through in quarantine clearance and wear personal protective equipment.
According to PCG Negros Head Jansen Benjamin (March 9, 2020), the unloading of fertilizer from the cargo vessel has been started after 3 days of waiting.
Benjamin stated that they deploy personnel of PCG and Bacolod PNP to follow the protocol of DOH.
