Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez is a Filipino actress, model, dancer and beauty queen who was crowned as the First Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas title in the Miss World Philippines 2017 pageant and eventually won the Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 title in Santa Cruz, Bolivia on 4 November 2017.
Winwyn recently announced that this year, she will join the Basic Citizen’s Military Training. She said her decision was because of her desire to proved that women can do also hard tasks. Netizens commented on her post that she is only joining the bandwagon. Winwyn responded immediately. And her remarks went viral.
The Kapuso actress bravely responded to the netizen who criticized her decision to joined the Military. According to some articles, Winwyn already announced to her fans that she is already suiting up for the training under the country’s armed forces.
She said through an Instagram post that she does not need to provide further explanation about her decision since she is doing it to prove what women can do.
Winwyn said, “People are asking me why I want to do this. I simply said because I want to. That’s it. No need for long explanations,” she quipped. “We don’t need to justify what we want to do. We can just show them what we women can do. So thrilled to be joining the Basic Citizen’s Military training Batch 2020…”
And the comment of a brave netizen said that the actress only decided for the training is because she just wants to “join the bandwagon.” While the social media user also pointed out that Winwyn wants to star in army-themed TV series so she opts to join the said military training.
And because of that, the celebrity responded frankly and she targeted the name of the account that aired a negative comment about her decision. “And I got this comment from an account who has a username HOT MEN PH. Nice!”
