Walt Disney movies are very popular. Some kids grew up envisioning their lives just like a Disney movie. Disney inspired many people, especially kids, with Disney princess movies with their very own music. Just like the kapamilya singer, Morissette Amon tagged as the Asia’a Phoenix.

She met the American actor, Will Smith, who plays the role ‘Genie’ in the movie “Aladdin”, and Disney composer Alan Menken.

Based on the report, Morissette, together with Darren Espanto, were the chosen ones to sing the local version of Aladdin, movie’s soundtrack ‘A Whole New World’. They both admitted that it was not easy creating their version of the Disney song.

“This is a classic. Everyone knows this song. I guess the challenge was to make your own rendition and at the same time, not to lose the magic of the song,” said Morissette.

Morissette Amon flew to Japan after she was chosen, to meet one of the main cast, Will Smith and Disney composer Alan Menken, who she had a duet with.

“A lot of kids in the Philippines grew up to your music – including myself. And it’s such an honor to be meeting you,” she said.

Alan Menken, the Oscar-winning Disney composer, praised Morissette for having a great voice. He said, “You hit some great notes there though! It was fantastic”.
