The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) releases statement of Magnitude 3.3 Earthquake that hits Basay (Negros Oriental) on Wednesday, February 17, 2018 at around 2 a.m.
Location of Magnitude 3.3 Earthquake is 09.24°N, 122.56°E – 021 km S 26° W of Basay (Negros Oriental), Phivolcs report. Depth of Focus (Km) is 004 and the Origin is TECTONIC.
According to Phivolcs, We cannot predict when or where an earthquake will happen. There is no reliable technology in the world that can confidently predict the date, time and location of large earthquakes. Please avoid sharing any messages that could cause panic and fear.”
