President Rodrigo Duterte will likely retain the ‘No wang-wang’ policy or the ban on tge use of sirens by the motorist in Metro Manila,which was implemented by the previous administration.Malacañang also said foreign travel would not be a priority for President Duterte for now,as he would like rp focus on domestic issues.

Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella said there would be no problem adopting the ban on sirens,as he noted Duterte’s preference for eschewing VIP treatment.”Based on that,the wang-wang issue should be a small thing,”. Abella said as he defended Duterte for not attending the first flag-raising ceremony under his watch at Malacañang yesterday.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea led the first flag-raising ceremony along with officials and employees of the Office of the President.Communications Secretary Martin Andarar had said that Duterte’s possible attendance at the event has not been discussed.”He mentioned that he would be spending more time in the Philippines,now that he has just assumed as President” Andanar said.
