Francis Tolentino former MMDA chairman and MMFF chair said his heart will always be close to the local film industry. After stepping down from his position and announcing his intention to run for the senatorial race three months ago, the longtime public servant still hopes to champion local films.
He believes that his industry will still go through all of this and shine like before. He added that it severely affected by piracy and the entry of the foreign films that’s why he wants it to revived.
Francis also still hopes that their is something that will came to help build and strengthen the film industry by producing more films that promote Filipino values, culture and history that will be given funding, technology assistance, and promotional support if these are shown abroad.
He also want that the government will give some support and fund to enhance the industry to make it better again like before.
