The governor of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Mujiv Hataman showed his dismayed towards the costume of the host of the Eat Bulaga!, Senator Tito Sotto and Joey de Leon on their Halloween special on their program last October 31.
The two veteran hosts wore thobe on their noontime show which is the usual attire of the Muslim men. The robe is until heels and has long sleeves. The governor has his statement on their Minda News, October 1 with the statement of “On behalf of the Filipino Moro people, we demand that producers and hosts of the noontime show issue a public apology”
On the Philippines, the thobe was wore only on their Eid’l Fitr but the host showed their disrespect and insensitivity as they equated the Muslim garb as a costume to be feared, in the way that zombies and ghouls are to be feared. Until now the management of Eat Bulaga! , have not yet release any statement towards this complain.
