Congratulations! Gilas Pilipinas defeated the Kuwait national basketball team during the Filipinos final game in the preliminary round of FIBA Asia 2015. The national basketball team of the Philippines finished the preliminary with 2-1 win-loss card.

Gilas Pilipinas will move on to the next round of the competition alongside Palestine and Hong Kong who will form Group E that will feature Iran, Japan and India, according to the report.

The Philippine national men’s basketball team defeated Kuwait with the final score of 110-64. During the game of Philippines vs. Kuwait, Terrence Romeo tops scored for the Philippines with 19 points including a perfect 3-of-3 clip from the three point range and with a two assists and two steals.

Jayson Castro added with 16 points, Calvin Abueva with 10 points and eight rebounds.  The journey of team Gilas Pilipinas will resume in the second round of the competition with a carry-over 1-1 win-loss record to the second group phase with Kuwait eliminated.
