Two treasure hunters, one German and a Polish, came to authorities and claimed they have found the Nazi train full of gold, gems and valuable art in Poland, and said they will reveal the location of the treasures provided they will get 10% of its total value.
According to historians, near the end of World War II the train carrying Nazi’s treasures disappeared near Wroclaw, which is part of Poland, when it entered a secret tunnel as Soviet men were crossing the German boarders in 1945.
Reports by local newspaper site claimed that the train may have been hidden in a tunnel and is about 500 feet long and carried 300 tons of gold and treasures.
Some locals and historians purported that although the legend does not present concrete evidence that it actually exists, it may actually be true.
Marika Tokarska, a Walbrzych city council official expressed worry that it could be dangerous to excavate the area as it may possibly have underground methane gas and hidden explosives.
