Congratulations! Team KAIST for winning the DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC) after a two-day competition in California, they take home $2 million. The second runner-up will get $1 million and in third place will take home $500, 000.
Robots from six countries including the United State, Japan and South Korea garnering the highest rating but the Team Kaist from Korea won. The DARPA Robotics Challenge is over and it will certainly to be remembered as one of the defining robotics competitions of the decade for the hardship, drama and inspiration.
This is the most unforgettable moment and there will be have more hint of what to look forward in the future. Team Kaist robot is an adaptable humanoid called DRC-HUBO that beats out 22 other robots from five different countries.
Robot’s Transformers ability to switch back and forth from a walking biped to a wheeled machine proved key to its victory. There was robots lost their balance and collapsed to the ground while they trying to perform task to open a door or operating a drill but DRC-HUBO perform efficiency.
