American doctor Ian Crozier was diagoned positive to Ebola virus which is responsible of taking many lives in African territories; he was treated at Emory University Hospital and after series of treatment the hospital declared him free from the virus.
In an interview with Anderson Cooper he noted he was struggling to walk again upon knowing that there is something wrong on his eyes, he goes back to the hospital to conduct an examination and found out that the virus is still living on his eyes.
“It felt almost personal that the virus could be in my eye without me knowing it, “he told The New York Times.
Because of these events this prompts the doctors to recall all Ebola survivors to conduct an eye check up to secure they are free from the harmful virus.
Crozier developed an eye problem after he has been operated on the eye, but it does not matter to him because what is important it to live and secure the safety those people that surround him.
“We certainly didn’t think it was related to active and replicating virus in the eye,” Crozier said.
Jay Varkey professor at Emory University School of Medicine noted that Dr. Crozier is fully free from the virus. He also called the attention of other doctor to strictly follow the Ebalo virus protocol to secure that the virus will not spread in the society and could not cause any casualties anymore.
