Congratulation to Cherie Gil wins Best Actress and Nora Aunor receives Lifetime Achievement Award during the 2015 ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards (AIFFA). The awarding ceremony was held last night, April 11, 2015 at the Borneo Convention Centre in Kuching, Malaysia.
Cherie was recognized for her role as an opera singer in the film Sonata. She was able to beat fellows Pinays actresses such as Vivian Velez for the movie Bendor, Barbara Miguel on Nuwebe, Krystle Valentino (Purok 7) as well Prisia an Indonesia actress on her movie Sekola Rimba.
Cherie Facebook Page, she thanked her brother Mark Gil and expressed her gratitude for Peque Gallaga and Lore Reyes as the directors of Sonata.
