The Supreme Court of the Philippines released the official results of the October 2014 Bar Examinations as they announced that a total of 1,126 passed the 2014 Bar exam out of 5,984 takers, or 18.825 of total examinees.
Irene Mae Alcobilla from San Beda College got the first place in October 2014 Bar Examination with the high rating of 85%. Aside from Alcobilla, Christian Drillon taking the second place from Ateneo de Manila University who garnered 85.45% passing rate.
The examination was given in four Sundays of October (5, 12, 19 and 26.) The exam covered eight different subjects including Political and Public International Law, Labor and Social Legislation, Civil law, Taxation, Mercantile Law,Criminal Law, Remedial Law, and Legal and Judicial Ethics.

During the examination days, security measures are being implemented within the vicinity of the UST campus where the examination is being conducted. Streets and sidewalks are being cleared from possible obstructions particularly the areas of Dapitan which is schedule to close between 10:30 to 1 p.m. to ensure the safety of the examinees. Aside from that, Manila traffic authorities will also coordinate to the said activity by implementing re-routing schemes as the exam is going on.
