Comedian Vice Ganda on “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin” earned more than P300-million at the box office, as stated. Vice Ganda’s tweet last Saturday, January 3, 2015, the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry has earned P300 million since opening on Christmas day.
It will be match the gross earnings of “Girl, Bakla, Tomboy” which was the entry in last year’s MMFF that would be the highest-gossing Philippine film of all time. According to yahoo Philippines announcement last Friday, Dominic Du of the MMFF executive committee was quoted as saying that the annual film fest has already earned more than P701 million as of January 1.
Dominic Du added that it supposed the gross-box receipts of last year’s MMFF by five percent. He revealed that “English Only, Please,” which stars Derek Ramsay and Jennylyn Mercado and “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2” to take the last spot of this year’s top four entries, according to ABS-CBN reports.
Back on December 26, 2014, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino announces the other top grossing entries, “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin,” My Big Bossings,” and “Feng Shui 2”.
