Let’s take a tour on the set of Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2014) official entry Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo.

As the film lead actor Robin Padilla portrayed the role Andres Bonifacio considered to be a first patriot hero of our country.  Dubbed as the father of Revolution, Bonifacio formally lead a revolutionary group KKK or (Katataasang Kagalang galangan Katipunan), this are the group of people who aims to stop the Spanish oppression and rule of the country.

The cast and crew of the movie started their taping on August 29, wherein this is date when Bonifacio and the members of Katipunan made a surprise attack against the Spanish Army on August 29, 1896.

Its director Enzo Williams uses an ARRI camera with anamorphic lenses, for a complete ARRI work flow, the said high tech camera is widely used among film makers based on Hollywood USA. The said first epic movie is the first to use this technology on South East Asia.

The said movie is completely research by its film researchers through Bonifacio’s descendants.

Also the actress Vina Morales will portray as the ever supportive wife of Andres Bonifacio, this also features the first Filipino martirs named Padre Gomez, Burgos and Zamora.

The films also features Daniel Padilla, Isko Moreno and Pen Medina.
