GMA 7 “My Husband’s Lover” had been nominated and has a chance to grab the International Emmy Awards under the telenovela category.
According to International Academy of Television Arts and Science they had been seriously evaluated the said teleserye and found qualified for the said nomination.
They also posted the three telenovela who made it on their list namely
- “30 Lives: Maxim Bouchard” from Canada,
- “Belmonte” from Portugal
- “Precious Pearl” from Brazil.
The above mention awarding committee gives recognition to those who excelled in producing quality television series outside United States. The date of awarding will be on November 24 at New York Hilton Hotel.
“My Husband’s Lover” really took the mark on the history of Philippine teleserye wherein it shows the love story of two homosexual being, which tries to overcome the trials and discrimation of the society.
It also shows the acceptance and understanding of their family towards whom they really are and respect their relationship.
According to Dennis Trillo the said serye really wake up the awareness of the people that this really happens in reality and it is a very big challenge for him together with his co-star Tom Rodriguez to portray as homosexual lovers.
Congratulations to “My Husband’s Lover” staff and crew for making an international quality of telenovela and hopefully they will grab the award.
