Esquire magazine in their latest issue named the Spanish American actress Penelope Cruz to be the sexiest women alive.

The Hollywood actress snatches the crown from Scarlett Johansson whom is given the recognition last year.

Cruz latest movie is Ridley’s Scott thriller “The Counselor” and also will have a project alongside with her husband Javier Bardem entitled “Ma Ma” this upcoming Spanish oriented drama will be  considered a hit on Spanish audience.

It is remembered that the Spanish actress latest achievement wherein she won the supporting actress performance as considered to be a dynamic and volatile actress in the movie “Vicky Christina Barcelona”, she also told the famous men’s magazine that she is not more focus on drama project and happy to explore more on doing some other roles.

Cruz noted that all actresses should start to do films like drama because it could be their own foundation to be a good artist, but sometimes you need to explore more like doing some suspense films which sometimes features your “Darkside” as an artist.

“Most of us have that, especially if you are an artist – you feel like you are tempted to explore the darkness. I could not be less interested now.” Penelope noted.

She is also known for her role on “Vanilla Sky” together with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, also in the blockbuster movie “Blow”.

Some artist like Rihanna, Mila Kunis and Charlize Teron are given also a specific distinction by the famous magazine.
