The MassKara Festival 2014 will be launched on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, led by Mayor Puentevella and Kasadya Bacolod Foundation Inc. the festival organizer held at the Grand Lobby of the Bacolod People’s House, according to the news of Sun Star.
According to Mayor Monico Puentevella, “We will have a bigger, better and merrier festival. If you enjoyed last year’s MassKara, you will enjoy it more this year”. MassKara Festival 2014 theme is “One Rhythm. One Bacolod. A Million Smiles”.
The official event launched will be on October 1 with a mass at the plaza for parsimonious Bacolod from the Super Typhoon Yolanda damages.
MassKara Festival 2014 theme is to reflect the city’s unified of all Bacolodnon, as Vice Mayor Greg Gasataya acknowledged. “It speaks of oneness and unity. It’s more than just promoting Bacolod as a tourism destination”, Vice Mayor added.
On September 27, 2014 around 5 p.m. will be the opening of the festival sites, according to the Kasadya Bacolod Foundation Inc. officers. The official festival sites are in the various designated area like SM City Bacolod, Bacolod People’s House, Lacson Tourism Strip and also in the Bacolod Public Plaza, said by Nestor Guilaran.

MassKara Queen Coronation Night – “October 10, 2014”

MassKaraLand will be also revealed on October 17, 2014.
MassKara Festival Streetdance Competition Category, almost eleven (11) schools are the participants of School Category and twenty (20) barangays will be competed in Barangay Category, announce by Nestor Guilaran (Kasadya Bacolod Foundation Inc.).
Here are the eleven (11) schools (Streetdance Competition Category);
Bacolod City National High School, Domingo Lacson NHS, Sum-ag NHS, Generoso Villanova NHS, Mandalagan Elementary School, Pahanocoy Baybay E.S., F.F Gonzaga E.S., Rizal ES, Education and Training Center School-I and the last C.L Montelibano ES.
Here are the twenty (20) Barangay (Barangay Category);
Villamonte, Tangub, Handumanan, Granada, Alijis as well in the participating vilages are 5, 2, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23, 26, 29, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38 will be competing,
The various sports event will be also be featured, such as karatedo, volleyball, autocross, softball, golf, ultimate frisbee, eskrima, wakeboarding, motorcycle drag racing, basketball, and boxing.
Here are the Prizes;
Bacolod City will be providing a sudsidy of P100, 000 for each participating elementary schools as well on high school and also P200, 000 each for the participating villages.
Barangay Category Prizes are; P300, 000 for the champion, P250, 000 second runner-up as followed, and also P200, 000 for the third runner-up.
High School Category; P150, 000 for the champion, P120, 000 on the second runner-up, P100, 000 for the third runner-up and in the fourth runner-up will be garnered P75, 000.
Elementary Category; P120, 000, champion; P100, 000 for the second runner-up; P75, 000 for the third runner-up; and P10, 000 consolation prize for the non-winning schools.
