Jodi Sta Maria denied the rumor that she will portray the role of the popular businesswoman, Amor Powers in the film “Pangako sa Yo” who was originally portrayed by Eula Valdez.

During the press conference of Be Careful With My Heart (BCWMH), the actress, together with Richard Yap and staffs of the noon-time primetime show which is set to end on November 28, 2014.

Sta Maria  also clarifies that she will not portray Amor Powers role in the remake of ‘Pangako Sa Yo.’

According to actress, she wants to take a rest after her last shooting in BCWMH, which has been aired for more than 2 years and also their show has trending in various social networking site.

“Gusto ko lang po klaruhin ha. Kasi narinig ko rin na naglabasan na sa akin napunta ang proyekto, hindi po,” she said in an interview on Thursday.

“Alam po ng ABS-CBN na gusto ko pong magpahinga pagkatapos ng ‘Be Careful With My Heart.’ I want to take a rest first, I want to take a break,” explained the actress.

In the remake of ‘Pangako Sa Yo,’ the main cast is to be played by the popular love team of this generation, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, dubbed as KathNiel.

The KathNiel love team will portray the role of Yna Macaspac and Angelo Buenavista that first played by Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales.

Meanwhile, the 32-year-old actress discloses her willingness that she can work with the two stars in a project if there’s a chance.

“Bakit naman hindi? Natutuwa ako sa dalawang bata na ‘yan dahil despite the fame na mayroon sila ngayon, they remain humble considering their stature. Pinaunlakan nila ang ‘Be Careful with My Heart’, nag-guest sila for limited engagements. So walang problema na makasama ko sila sa proyekto,” she said.

After appearing in BCWMH and played the role of young Anastacio and Manang Fe, the KathNiel love team was on top trending topic of the micro-blogging site Twitter.

Manang Fe, is the head maid of the Lim Family played by Gloria Sevilla, she shares her love story with Anastacio, during her childhood days. The two, Manang Fe and Anastacio remained as friend even until the time that Manang Fe started working as a house helper for Anastacio’s Godmother.
