The actor Derek Ramsay is finally admitted that he had a family already with Mary Cristine Jolly and an 11-year son Austin Gabriel.

He admitted after his wife Mary Cristine Jolly filed him Anti Violence Against Women and Their Children Act or R.A. 9262.

In his statement on Wednesday, the Kapatid actor although he admitted that he had a family, but in Mary Cristine’s Statement the 2 of it are true and the rest are definitely not, which he called replete with deliberate lies and deceptive.

He said in his statement “First, that Mary Christine Jolly and I were married in 2002, the marriage was invalid, for various reasons. Atty. Joji Alonso has subsequently explained to me that the information given me about the status of my marriage, is erroneous and that a marriage unless annulled, remains to be valid.”

The second, he had an 11-year-old child named Austin Gabriel Ramsay but confirmed him through DNA only on August 11 as requested by the actor to Mary Cristine.

The reason of keeping his child in public is to protect his child and to pursue his studies that without any bothers from media.

He said in his statement “Since then, I wanted to know my son first and keep my relationship with him, private. Austin was just an 8-year-old boy then and he would not be able to comprehend the possible media curiosity about him, especially since he was then new to the country and about to pursue his education here.”

In this issue, the Derek’s marriage with Mary Cristine is one of the reasons of Derek and Angelica break up in 2011.

The actor is facing the file case of filing charges of violation from his wife Mary Jolly in Makati Prosecutor’s Office.
