The San Mig Coffee superstar James Yap got his second consecutive title in a finals as the Most Valuable Player award last Wednesday after defeating the Rain or Shine, 92-89 , do-or-die Game 5 in the Finals of the 2014 PLDT Home Telpad PBA Governors’ Cup Finals.
Big Game James Yap scored 29 points in clinching Game 5; including his 16.2 points average and 4.4 rebounds against the solid defense of Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. He also won a MVP awards when the Mixers won last March on Commissioner’s Cup.

The fourth time Most Valuable Player (MVP) also won the finals MVP award last 2010 Philippine Cup and Commissioners’ Cup last 2012.
San Mig Coffee had completed a series after winning three (3) PBA titles got the historical Grand Slam. Coach Tim Cone proud of his team, “”This 4-peat, this Grand Slam still hasn’t hit me yet. I’m overwhelmed by it,”he said.
