Indonesia bans Hollywood Biblical Movie “Noah” due to its conflict to Islamic value.
The latest Hollywood movie was also prohibited due to the conflict of doctrines.
Censors represented by Muslim community states that they prohibits the said movie to be showing in the country because the depiction of prophets is forbidden under Islamic rules.
Noah is considered both a prophet of Christians and Muslims.
According to Zainut Tauhid Saadi a member of censor’s board in Indonesia the movie shows visual depiction of prophet which considered forbidden in Islam. He also added that it will hurt both Christian and Muslim believers.
The said Paramount produced films starring Russel Crowe as “Noah” is not only banned in Indonesia but also in Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates earlier this month.
Also reports stated that the Christian community in US felt angry because of unconventional portrayal of Crowe as Noah.
Because of the controversy, Paramount pictures decided to that they would add some explanatory materials to make it more clear to the viewers also for marketing the movie.

Hollywood film Noah is not the only Hollywood film banned in Jakarta. It is remembered that the movie Balibo was also banned in the country showing Australian journalist allegedly killed by Indonesian Troops when they are preparing to invade.
But Jakarta states that they were killed due to crossfire.
Even the “Noah” creates a controversy it is still premiering this Friday.
