Chel Diokno Reacts to Imee Marcos’ Statement, “Hindi mo ikamamatay ang Pag-move on”

Chel Diokno on Senator Imee Marcos’ statement in the first episode of VinCentiments’ “Kalimutan Mo Kaya” series, which debuted on Wednesday, September 21, the 50th anniversary of the country’s proclamation of martial law.

“Hindi mo ikamamatay ang pagpapakumbaba. Nakakapangit ng inyong paghuhugas-kamay. Tingnan mo, nakapahamak ka na,” This was tweeted by Diokno on Thursday, September 22nd, accompanied with a quotation note from Marcos.

“Tama, hindi madaling makalimot. Pero madali namang magbayad ng tamang buwis at magpakita ng katiting na pagsisisi. Mas mabilis gumaling ang sugat pag ginagamot,” he added.

The senator served as host and love guru to a sender who was having romantic troubles in the inaugural episode of “Kalimutan Mo Kaya.”

The senator then read the sender’s letter, in which the sender also requested for help after being the victim of an unfaithful relationship.

“Tignan mo, napahamak ka pa.  Nandamay ka pa ng wala namang kasalanan sayo. Ganun kasi kapag puro nakaraan, nawawalan ka ng kinabukasan,” she added.

“Sa love, ang pain hindi mo maiiwasan pero yung pagdurusa choice mo ‘yan. Makipaghiwalay ka kahit mahal mo pa. Mahirap pero kaya. Hindi mo ikamamatay ang pagsuko, ang pag-move-on o ang pagpapalaya.”

“Saka ka na magpatawad ‘pag handa ka na. Hindi rin madali ang makalimot pero sabi nga mas mabilis gumaling ang sugat kapag hindi kinakalikot.”
