Surgeon Arrested in Buy-Bust Drug Operation in Butuan City

A surgeon from Butuan City and was working for a government hospital was arrested by authorities during an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation.

According to reports of Interaksyon, Butuan City Police Office leads a buy-bust operation in one of the houses in the city and arrested a suspected surgeon named as Dr. Fredirick Padilla.  The authorities seized from him three sachets of suspected Shabu, one improvised glass tooter pipe and PhP1, 700 cash in a different denomination.

He was arrested after he was seen with the target of the operation also named Jefrix Galon alias “Jepoy”. Interaksyon added, the Police Superintendent Rowena A. Martinez, head of CAIDU of the BCPO revealed the details of the operation.

They have seized from Galon several sachets of shabu, one used tin foil with residue of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, glass tooter pipes, five forceps, used and unused aluminum foil, one bamboo sealer, thirteen pieces of straight cut empty sachets, five disposable lighter without flame guard, three cellphones, two 500 peso marked money and several cash denominations amounting to PhP 5,120.

The ongoing campaign of President Rodrigo Duterte eliminate all illegal drugs in the Philippines became the center of issues around the country and was linked to extrajudicial killings in the country.

With the persistent action of the President’s anti-illegal drugs campaign crime rates lowers down.  This was according to PNP Chief Director Ronald “Bato” de la Rosa during the Senate hearing on Tuesday.
