The church leaders (Roman Catholic) announced in public on Tuesday that the Pope Francis will visit the Philippines next year on January 15 to 19, 2015.

Pope Francis in philippinesIn a press conference at Arzobispado de Manila, the Archbishop Luis Antonio and Cardinal Tagle said that Pope Francis will make apostolic visit the Philippines after to Sri Lanka on January 12 to 15.

Tagle ended his statement said “it is a sign of joy, thanks to God!”

The current nuncio of Philippines, Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto described the visit of Pope as a SPIRITUAL TYPOON.

The Vatican will announce the details about his visit before the end of the year, but in his previous statements that Pope Fancis wants visit the Yolanda Victims.

The National Government will lead the preparation for the visiting the Pope in the Philippines.

The Presidential Communication Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr also said that President Aquino has appointed Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr will lead in helping the papal visit committee.

The visit of Pope will happen during the 20th World Youth Day Philippines.

Cardinal Tagle said what Filipinos can do to prepare for the visit “we prepare for the best by undergoing spiritual, tasting of God, returning to God through the sacrament of reconciliation.”

According to him, “It was not just a blessing of an icon… During that event, he said plainly that he was one with the suffering of the people and that we should not be afraid to ask God: Why?”

And he said the Filipinos should not be afraid to show the Pope their worth. According to him “We show him who we truly are: the resilience of Filipinos, faith, compassion, and bottomless hope.”
