The Philippine Government through their official website releases on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 the list of official holidays for the year 2015.

PhilippinesThe Proclamation No. 831 announced the list of Official Holidays (Regular/Special) nationwide that signed and approved last July 17, 2014 by President Benigno Aquino III in Malacanang. It is a total of 18 holidays with dates were released to the public.

The Filipinos will enjoy a total of 8 long weekends for the year 2015; the list of official holidays will be released before the 2014 ends.

For the Chinese and Filipino-Chinese community will celebrate the Chinese New Year on February 19, 2014 based on President’s proclamation of Chinese New Year as a Non-working Holiday is one of the festive events celebrated in China and Philippines.

The declaration of Eid’l Fitr and Eidul Adha shall be issued according to the Islamic Calendar. (in Muslims)
The President also added that December 24 and January 2 will be added as Non-Working Holiday to observe Christmas meaningfully. (For Christian and Catholic)
