If the Miss World 2014 will be held in the Philippines, the reigning queen, Miss World 2013 Megan Young will be hosting the 2014 edition of the pageant.

Currently, Megan Young met Vice President Jejomar Binay for a courtesy visit at the Coconut Palace in Pasay City together with “Miss World Organization” who personally relates to the Vice President about the proposal to have this year 2014 pageant’s final be held in the country.

Reigning Miss World 2013 Meagan Young becomes an international icon and got the world’s attention after winning the pageant held in Indonesia last November. She loves so much to hold the Miss World 2014 pageant here in the country.

During her visit with Vice President Binay she quoted saying, “Philippines hosting the pageant this year would show the world coming together to rebuild the country after Yolanda.” The super typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) destroyed the large portion of Visayas and Mindanao regions last year.

Vice President Binay replied saying, “The proposal is very convincing.” Well, that says a lot. Let’s hope they can convince our officials to hold the Miss World pageant here,” he said.

Megan Young is the first Filipina beauty queen crowned as Miss World for more than six decades.
