The American singer, writer for musical theater, lyricist and ambassador for Operation Smile, David Pomeranz has composed a song describing the resiliency and enthusiasm of Filipino to face the trials in life.

In an exclusive interview, the American singer told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that he composed a brand new song and the lyrics is inspired with his experience for many years he mingled with the Filipino people in the country on how resilient they are towards the tests of life, no matter how difficult are the trials in life but still Filipino can sing.

“…No matter what happens, no matter how hard it may be or good it may be or for whom, for [people] in the province, in the city, or wherever it is, what Filipinos do in the face of adversity is they go on, they sing.

“So I use the metaphor, literal on a metaphor for the resilience as… singing.

“So we stay in there, we don’t keep fall down by, we sing, we go on” said the American lyricist.

David PomeranzThe American composer uses metaphorical expression to write the lyrics to express his love to the Filipino.  As the song was inspired with the lives of a Filipino during the calamity this becomes more inspirational as the typhoon Yolanda made history.

David Pomeranz added that the song is written for a project; a purpose to raise money to help the typhoon victims.

David was associated with the local artists, the couple Edualdo and Kay Atilano.

Kay said, “David did not get a sing cent from writing the song. It’s for free.”
